FontShop has a great and extensive blog entry on typography on recent record covers here. A spellbinding read. A couple covers I have been immediately magnetized too, including, The Chemical Brothers, Delta Spirit, Stars, Wolf Parade, and Delphic all make an appearence. I have to say though, the cover for Teenage Fanclub's "Shadows" is a work of refined and subtle art. I have never heard the band...but I might just buy the record to have that lovely cover. The Tift Merrit cover definitely wins some Paul awards as well.
